Suppliers do not have access to your personal information: like address and phone numbers. However, we do not guarantee that our directory suppliers offer you the best price on the market.
- In using this website, you acknowledge that we are not acting as your general contractor, agent, or advisor. Therefore, it is your responsibility to select a contractor or service professional to perform the work needed. It is solely your responsibility to negotiate the terms on which any work will be performed. You may want to consult with appropriate advisers to assist in your home improvements, including a lawyer regarding contracts, permits, and other necessary job documentation and an insurance professional regarding the contractor's and your own insurance coverage requirements.

Contractors and service professionals are allowed to post profiles about themselves and their business to this website. We do not review, certify or verify the information or representations set forth in those profiles, as they are self-reported by the contractor or service professional.
Although we attempt to verify the credentials of our member contractors, we make no guarantees or endorsements regarding the skills or the quality of the job that the contractor or service professional may perform for you if you hire them. We do not endorse or recommend the services of any particular contractor. It is entirely up to you to enter into a direct contract or otherwise reach agreement with a contractor, and we do not guarantee or warrant their performance on the job or the outcome or quality of the services performed.
The contractors listed on this website are not employees or agents of IMI, nor is IMI an agent of the contractors. We do not perform, and are not responsible for, any of the services requested by you in your project submission or via your Directory search.
When you enter into a contract with any contractor, your rights are governed by the terms of that contract and by applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws. Should you have a dispute with any contractor, you must address the dispute with the contractor or the contractor's representatives directly.

Testimonials and Policy Ratings
Homeowners who employ the services of contractors listed in the Directory are encouraged to submit testimonials and ratings of the contractors' performance. Only those who have hired a contractor can submit a testimonial and a rating for that contractor.
Contractor, builders and service professionals who buy products from our suppliers listed in the Directory are encouraged to submit testimonials and ratings of the manufacturers and supplier’s products. Only those who bought products from our Directory list suppliers can submit a testimonial and rating for that company and product.
We make no claim to verifying the authenticity or accuracy of any testimonial before it is published to this website and are not responsible for the contents of reviews posted to any contractor's profile. We will not edit testimonials in any way other than to correct spelling mistakes and blatant grammatical errors but we may, in our discretion, remove testimonials that include foul or vulgar language. We also reserve the right to add, change or remove reviews at any time.
A copy of your testimonial(s) may be sent to the company and contractor you have reviewed. The contractor and supplier have the opportunity to post their rebuttal where an unfavorable testimonial is given.
Homeowners giving testimonials should be careful to ensure the accuracy of any statements made about their experience with their contractors, as slander and libel laws are designed to protect people/companies from testimonial misuse.
A homeowner can post only one testimonial per contractor per job, although homeowners can edit their testimonial upon further reflection. All changes will be subject to the same review process as new testimonials.
Customers giving testimonials about supplier companies and their products should be careful to ensure the accuracy of any statements made about their experience, as slander and libel laws are designed to protect companies/products/brands from testimonial misuse.
Contractors or Service Professionals and/or Suppliers
As a contractor, service professional or supplier, you understand that users are free to post content about you, your services and products (including, without limitation, testimonials, rankings and ratings) which may be freely accessed, viewed and downloaded by other users. We will not be liable for any such content, nor will we be under any obligation to remove such content even if such content could be damaging to your business reputation and goodwill or could reasonably be expected to otherwise adversely affect your business.

Payment of Fees
Membership fees will be charged to your credit card or debit card. We process all payments thru PayPal. You will be asked to provide credit card or PayPal account information when you register as a gold and platinum contractor member or as a supplier member. Furthermore, for each membership (Contractor and/or Supplier) accepted into the Directory, there is a recurring renewal fee to maintain the listing in the Directory. Likewise, if you wish to upgrade your membership, or order services that generate a fee, you will be asked to provide credit card or PayPal account information. For your protection, we use a certified payment gateway and do not retain credit card information after completion of a transaction.
Each submission or order online for any service for which a fee is charged is deemed to be an authorization to debit predetermined sums representing applicable statutory and service fees, charges, and applicable taxes from your credit card. You will be informed of the total charges and asked to confirm the transaction before it is charged to your credit card. You are responsible for all charges, fees and taxes incurred by you. Charges and fees will be at the rates published on this website from time to time plus all additional applicable taxes.
Before submitting any request for goods and/or services or otherwise completing an online order (including, without limitation any purchase, upgrade or extension of a Platinum, Gold membership or Supplier membership), please verify that you have correctly entered the information in the request and/or order. We cannot refund the cost of a Service if you have inputted the request incorrectly. Once a submission or order is submitted, there are NO REFUNDS, EXCHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS.
If we are unable to collect the charges, fees and/or taxes from your credit card for any reason, you shall be directly responsible for the fees, charges and taxes plus any other charges (including costs of collection) which we may have incurred. You shall be responsible for notifying us of any incorrect charges within thirty (30) days of receiving a statement or receipt from us. After the thirty (30) day period, you shall forfeit any recourse to us for alleged errors in our charges. Termination of Account

This User Agreement will remain in full force and effect until it is terminated. You may terminate this User Agreement at any time, for any reason or no reason by following the instructions on the "Cancel membership" page. When you cancel your membership you will not receive a refund for the service you signed up, but there will be no more reoccurring renewal fee once we receive your membership cancellation request.
We may terminate this User Agreement at any time, for any reason, with or without explanation, effective upon sending written notice, by fax, email or post, to you. Upon termination of this User Agreement, your account will immediately cease to be operational and all licenses granted to you hereunder will immediately expire. You shall not be entitled to any refund for fees paid in respect of the use of this website and we shall not be in any other way or manner liable to you with respect to any prepaid services or with respect to termination generally. All licenses you have granted to us shall survive termination of this User Agreement. Likewise, all limitations and exclusions of liability, waivers and disclaimers provided hereunder shall survive termination of this User Agreement. Finally, your obligations regarding our confidential and/or proprietary information and/or materials, and your obligations to indemnify and hold us harmless shall also survive termination of this User Agreement.
Governing Law
Any disputes arising from or relating to the use of this website shall be governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. A determination by a court of competent jurisdiction that any part of this User Agreement is unenforceable shall not affect the validity of any other provision.
